i started this project on my own with Akasi Sudama, tracking coincidences we know of and see in our lives because why not, coincidence loves to fuck with me, and it loves to fuck with her (trend in both our lives), and i figured i'd make an email and a website and allow others to report coincidences to us too, so that way we can just put together coincidences and report them and see what happens. i may also turn this into some sort of game/web app that we can all use because why not. side note: this is just a personal project that i may abandon because i don't care anymore, but it'll be a personal one still because coincidence loves to fuck with me and Akasi
so yeah, that's all it is, just a boredom thing because i have nothing better to do with my life, and Akasi figured she'd get behind it and help from the background
if you want to report a coincidence email me with the title saying "Coincidence Report" and include the name you with to be credited (if no credit just say anon or no credit), the coincidence in a few words, for example "these two friends are both doing testing, and i'm helping them through it", the time and date of occurrence (or at least the date), and then where it happened, and if applicable, where anyone else involved was when it happened (in the case of long distance things such as friends online). then just send the email, there's nothing else i need, and once i log the coincidence on the site, i'll archive the email. some examples are below
example:
"hey, I'm Jes, and my friend Sam and Tom and I all did the same jump at the skate park, without thinking or planning, and at separate places, all at the same time, at 3 PM. the skatepark was in the south part of Los Angeles California"
more anon example:
"hey, I don't want credit, but me and two of my friends all bought the same ice cream cone at a store in a day at separate times, and only realized it when we were talking about it later, this happened in Colorado"
the goal of this project is to see if coincidence is totally random, and/or see if some people see a lot of coincidence in their lives, and maybe make some people see coincidence all around them because who knows, maybe it's a bigger thing than just something me and Akasi deal with, and so any goals will be to see if there's any connections between these coincidences, or if it's all just a bunch of random shit that happens. and hey, who knows, maybe this project will just blow up, and if it does, well, then you can immortalize you and some friends in the history of the internet by reporting a coincidence and getting it on this site. regardless, i think it'll be fun.
